Another “thing to do” this year for carpeting is to go bright, colourful and eyecatching – focusing on “individual, unique, style statements.” (Domotex Trends) Bold colour and pattern have been a strong influence in helping us choose many of the styles we carry at W Studio. According to Domotex (Floor Covering and Carpet Expo) there are a few trends to watch for this year when it comes to carpeting. “The New Organic” follows green and sustainable living. The trend focuses on natural and organic materials in all aspects of daily life and thus applied in home furnishings and textiles. The current selection W Studio carpets are all ethically and sustainably produced from natural fibres of wool, silk or cotton. Carpet 24727 (pictured) is hand woven and produced from several shades of undyed naturally coloured wool.

Getting the right shag carpet is the key to making it work with your space and existing decor. Colour, pattern and size are the main things to consider when looking for the right match. A patterned shag rug can work well considering the furniture pattern is minimal and colours compliment each other.
